I'm so excited about this!

We had a trampoline in our backyard growing up and I have fond memories of jumping with my brothers, jumping with my friends, hiding under it, sprinkler under it when it got hot, etc. I've wanted something in our backyard for a while, but it is a rather small yard.

Michael never said no, but I just needed to pursue it enough to make it happen. Since my parents were here, I figured it was the perfect opportunity to put my dad to work (he is always sweeping or throwing away stuff around my house and I tell him to just enjoy the kids).

Michael and my dad worked the hardest while Matthew and Tyler were great assistants. Every once in a while my mom and I helped when they needed an extra set of hands. I was
setting up a blog for my mom, so I was doing other important work:)

We took

a half time and went out to lunch at
Z Tejas and then came back to finish the job.

We heard this morning that Tyler and Matthew got up at 2:30 am and started playing lego's. I didn't really believe them, but both my parents (who slept in alyssa's room) and Michael said they heard them "some time in the wee hours of the night" in playing.

At lunch, Matthew walked up to Michael, said he was tired, sat on his lap and within about 30 seconds was asleep.

He made it home after being plugged into his booster seat and slept on the couch for quite a while (3 hours I think after numerous times trying to wake him).

He was still sleeping when the tramp was all set up. Even grandma and grandpa piled on for the innagural fun....Matthew eventually found us (a bit sad at what he slept though) but also joined in.

The laughter and joy on their faces was worth a million bucks...and the $$$ spent on this toy. I only wish we didn't see the cars driving behind our home while atop of the structure of fun. Oh well.

(click on these bottom ones to see our faces better) Ladies...if you've had a few babies...jump with caution.

Soooooooooo fun! I'm jealous. I want a trampoline now! That looks like a blast. I LOVE the expressions on all of your faces; pure joy!
Hi Kristen. It is Jill (Linda's sister-in-law) and I am a "secret reader" of your blog, but not anymore, I have wanted to comment for quite some time, so here I go. Love your blog. How fun to get a trampoline for a "hoppy easter!" Also, I loved your missionary story about your friends' family, that is so great. Thanks for sharing your blog, I will probably comment again soon!
...jump w/ caution...love it!! :)
My very first thought as I saw you atop the tramp was, I wonder if I'm the only one? Now I know! So fun. Love it.
Jump with caution indeed! I thought that exact same thought the first time I jumped on a tramp after having two kids. The mind was ready but the body said DON'T DO IT!!
Oo how fun! The kids seriously do look so happy. And I bet Norm was very happy to be put to work. :)
