I need your help

Ok...of course you all know I love to take pictures. I also love to write. Have journals spanning back to age 12 where for a while I have every day documented (those high school journals are drama and intrigue, i tell ya). My dad is an author of several books, so I like to think I got a little of that from him. I just never know what to write ABOUT. I want to "wax philosophical" not that I think I have that much intelligence to offer, but I like to think and I like to talk, so why not purge it here? I have a few friends that are either very witty or makes me think about something. My friend Gretchen has a funny post on public bathrooms and my friend Emily posted something more serious about honesty. Then my sis in law, Kim, directed me to a funny blog about a "normal mormon husband" talking about the vampire books. So I need your help. If you read my blog, think of something....leave a comment....what would you like to hear about? It can be anything....serious or silly. Just leave a comment of 1 word or a question, and I'll make different posts about that. I'd like all readers to post as a type of "roll call" so I can be refreshed about who is reading and not commenting (kathy, this means you). Give me something to write about, and I may have to include at least one picture because I often need a picture to break up my reading. So let's hear it!!!!

OK, so I hope this comment isn't a repeat. I got an error before.

How about you 10 go-to wardrobe items? My friend posted about that the other day and I thought it was interesting:

Sorry, that's all I've got.

I think I've told you about my best friend and I writing essays every month as an exercise. This month we're writing about proverbs, sayings, and idioms (all the same thing, I guess) that we have found to be true/not true in our lives. It's been interesting thinking about how some of these have shaped our paradigms when approaching life. Maybe you could choose one that has affected your life for better or worse and write on that.

Perhaps you could talk about a book you read that you really enjoyed. I personally count myself among the rabid fans of Stephenie Meyer. Or if reading is not your bag, you could give movie reviews. If all else fails you could make up an award to give to a blog that you enjoyed reading a lot.

I love it when you talk about the people in your life...your hubby on your anniversary, your kids on their birthdays, your grandparents etc. I like hearing the details about why you love them. For new ideas, I'm thinking of blogging, "Amy's favorite things" like Oprah's favorite things. A list of foods, gadgets, movies, clothes or whatever that I've fallen in love with. Maybe you can beat me to it with your own list.

For a philosophical topic, how about discussing the true meaning of Joy, what it is, how to achieve it, the role that faith plays, how the little things matter, etc?

I like Amy's favorite things idea.

There are some days that I have a million ideas for blogging rolling around, and other days (like today) where I'm totally clueless.

You could always blog about memories -- find old pictures, scan them in and describe what was happening (like your mardi gras post. Loved that one!)

i may be too late on this one, but i just saw it. you could write a story about where you see yourself and your family in 10 or 20 years and what you'll be doing. or, i'm writing about my kids' birth stories. just some ideas....

I like the "favorite things" idea and "life's lessons learned". Ooh, I might have to do that when I feel like I've got consistent time to write. No matter what you write, we'll keep reading!!
