Back to life....back to reality

I took a little trip ALL BY MYSELF. I was gone for 5 days. I felt guilty before...overwhelmed, sad, and nervous. Once I left, I was fine (I knew it would happen this way). I had SO much fun in Washington with my BYU roommate, Abbi and her kids. Then at the wedding of the "burgler" as my kids call her. I took probably 1000 pictures and will post some later this week. I'll share stories then. At one point, someone said to me, "kristen, you are just giddy." It was late one night, I was driving a jeep full of people around a town I'd never been, with the radio up, and it was true, just having fun. I told Michael that I truly believe that trips like this just recharge me. I missed my family, was ready to come back, and once again aim to be a great mother and wife. For those of you that think you could never do it...just do it!

I have to post just one picture of my little brother Russell and his wife Kim...they were also at the wedding and were my excellent assistants (it was one of my brothers best friends who got married). I was getting the settings ready on my camera and told them to walk out of the Temple doors and pretend they are the newlywed couple...they hammed it up pretty good, it just makes me laugh each time I look at it! I just love them:)
