My friend Nicole was in town for the day for one of her friends weddings in downtown Austin. She told me about it a while back, but with the hectic schedule of being in the bridal party, she didn't know if she'd be able to sneak away for us to get together. I left my day relatively open just in case. When she called this morning and said she'd have a window from 2-4 this afternoon and could I meet her downtown, I was so excited.

I mentioned her in my
dance post...she's my clubbin' friend. She lived in NYC for 7 years and now lives in LA. We end up seeing each other at least once a year because both of our parents still live in Houston (where we grew up). I love knowing about all the details of her life. When her prince sweeps her off her feet, I'll be there to capture that beautiful day...whenever that may be:) Her friend Nate flew in from Virginia to be her date for the wedding. He is very tall (played basketball for Brown) and took a liking to Alyssa, my side kick for the day. We ate at a
Hoffbrau Steaks on 6th street and then had dessert at
Katz Deli across the street (this yellow car said Katz on it). It is a NY deli open 24 hours (it says Katz never Kloses in their slogan). Nate and Nicole liked looking around b/c it had New York paraphenelia all around and that is where they met.

I'll have to go back for the food someday because it looked really good. AJ and I then went to the
Driskill Hotel and hung out with them before the wedding and left so as not to be a wedding crasher. It was a fun afternoon with a dear friend. Now I'll have to wait for the phone call from her in a few days to give me the REAL scoop on this boy--I love to hear her crazy stories and adventures.

Has this girls ever NOT been beautiful? And her friend is not bad looking either :)
I've always wanted to see the Driskill hotel. We should do a downtown Austin lunch one day!
