The Deal is Good

That's what Greg, the sales guy, told us today. We wrote up a new contract Monday afternoon and submitted it to the higher beings that decide. They accepted it, we are building on the corner lot. We met somewhere in the middle. I'm excited, feels good. They poured the slab yesterday on our old lot. Not sad at all about that. This lot is better.

On an other note, our current house got its first offer yesterday. We've had tons of traffic since we put it on the market the last weekend in August. Our back yard backing to the neighborhood entrance street has been the one thing we keep hearing over and over that is undesirable. We got an offer, but for $20k less than we have it listed for. We are slightly annoyed by that, so we countered last night for just a little lower than our list price, waiting to hear back. We have a few months, so we aren't going to take the first low ball offer. We can wait.

Good luck. All of our offers were 40K under our asking. Painful...but I WISH we could have sold it for that price! Maybe we will have better luck next year?!
