I was on the Radio!

I feel 15 again (the last time I was on the radio). My friend Nicole Parker and I used to call into Steve Smith in Houston--but we called in the middle of the night when everyone was sleeping. We even won Duran Duran tickets (and yes, we went to the concert).

Anyway, I called in today to comment on a segment they were doing, and I got on the air! I was so nervous and excited, it was quite the rush.

I listen to Bobby Bones in the morning after I drop the boys off to school and get good laughs at the banter and really enjoy the people on there.

Today, I took the boys...went home...then at 8:30 Alyssa and I took a 20 minute drive to Joann's and I got to listen again. I just laugh at them. Bobby (the main guy who is quite sensitive--which I love--is looking for love but can't find it) was telling the story, and I'll just quote from the website:

Bobby’s Valentine’s Day Plan
-Bobby has thought of a Valentine’s Day plan a couple years ago that he’s always wanted to do but hasn’t had the opportunity to do! Since he hasn’t had a girlfriend in so long, he’s decided to share it with everyone and maybe someone can do it. Well, he was going to buy the girl’s name as a domain and then built a website for her, like a virtual “Book of Us” tribute! Then he would ask the girl if she ever googled her name and see if her name was a domain address! Surprise! Bobby thinks this idea is amazing, but Amy just thinks it’s nice! She even asked him what he would do along with the website!

LB (the insentive one) thought it was totally cheesy and lame. Amy (who I also really like her conservative ways) wasn't too thrilled, either. So I thought I'd call in and tell about what Michael did for me for my birthday. Kinda similar.

To listen to the clip, you'll have to download the link on my sidebar that says RADIO. (After clicking on the link there, click on the blue that says DOWNLOAD). I tried to figure out how to get just a play button, but can't do it. I come on about 3 minutes into the clip.
I was so excited that my friend Michael Owens actually heard me LIVE!

I love it. I was so tickled to hear you talking...you did real good. I love the little "I love you guys" at the end. You are a celebrity, and I know you!

Hahahaha, Kirk and I just listened to it and we loved it! Kirk says he didn't think you'd be into that kind of morning show. You apparently "rock hard" (in Kirk's words).

So I think the reason why we didn't get Michael's email about the blog thing is because you had my email wrong at the time. Now I don't feel like he hates my guts. ;) Just kidding!!

That's awesome. Sounds like an entertaining morning show to listen to :) The rest of the show was interesting, too. Glad to hear your comments! We loved doing that blog for you, too.
