Monday~cousin Lisa and fly home

My cousin Lisa was out of town the weekend I visited her parents (her dad is Uncle Dean) so we went to visit her at her new home on our way out of town. She, too, is the only girl with 3 brothers, but she is the baby in her family. Growing up, Grandma liked to get us matching dresses with my other cousin, Shauna. I think Lisa is 4 years younger than me. Growing up, she was quiet, but I've enjoyed getting to know her as an adult and mother. She has 2 little ones--Kaiya is 5 and Rockwell is 2 (he also got the red hair). You see, I should have had a red head!
The boys were concerned that there would only be "baby and girl" stuff at their home, these hatchets were a pleasant surprise.

Always up for a game of ring around the rosie...
My aunt Bonnie is in the back (Lisa's mom and Dean's wife) with my Grandma Hill and our girls.

Alyssa had no shortage of friends on this trip. She said she loved them all the best.
notice how Tyler and Matthew affectionately posed their soft animals for the shot below
The Balls are always the greatest hosts to us when we come. I sure love them. I dressed the girls alike, but the boys actually like to dress the same. They picked out their shirts at BYU.

This was the day before, but I liked how large this zucchini looked with AJ holding it.

My mom took this of us as we headed out of SLC on MOnday evening.
Unfortunately, we were delayed in Phoenix because of wind. Our 11pm arrival turned into a 2am arrival. Oddly, there was a guy in our neighboring ward at church whom I sortof knew because he used to be in our ward, on our flight. He planned to take a shuttle home, but I offered for him to come with us (lives just down the street) and he helped us with our luggage getting home. Glad my mom was there so it wasn't too awkward. My kids were excellent troopers, and I ended up foregoing Tylers TAG testing the next morning. Bummed, but oh well. There's always next year. I guess I'm due for a plane disaster, because I've never really had one.

Fun fun trip...now I'm done blogging it!
