My Mothers Day

I woke up just a bit before 7am to hear some rustling in the kitchen. Michael asked me the night before if orange waffles sounded good for breakfast. Of course, I LOVE waffles. He also made some buttermilk syrup which was quite delicious. I think the kids came in and out of helping. He is usually gone Sunday mornings by that time, so it was nice to have him home, and to help get everyone ready for church. The week before they were secretly working on something and Alyssa told me it was for Mother's Day. After our yummy breakfast (and before our 9am church) we sat on the couch and they gave me the things they had been working on. Some at school, some at church, some at home. I love their drawings and to hear what stands out to them that I do.

Alyssa colored this (Michael helped with the drawing)

Tyler gave me a book of poems he had been working on at school.

Cali gave me the cutest little baby bootie charm for my charm bracelet (see it on my arm above). The kids and Michael picked out the other charms last summer.

I love Tyler's smile here...

They are just the cutest....

I am so blessed to be the mother of this little brood. Since I was a little girl, I always knew I wanted to be a mother. I can't imagine any other place I'd rather be.

Darling kids, adorable presents, love the purples. (I think I might have that shirt in another color, is it Downeast?) You look ravishing for having just had a baby you know.
