Twilight

I went out to see this movie with a bunch of friends on Friday night. A few weeks before, I sent out and email to those I knew had read the books to see who was interested in the movie. I got discount tickets, thanks to my friend Shari in Cali who told me about it and Gretchen who picked them up since I don't have a Costco membership. We only paid 7.50 for a $9 movie. A decent discount. So I had everyone's ticket for a week and the night before I had a dream I went on a road trip to Tallahassee and had the tickets with me and no way to get them to my friends. Everyone showed up who said they would and when I handed the last one out, the anxiety lessened. We met up at my house around 8pm and got to the theater and waited about an hour for the 9:05pm showing. A bunch of people beat us and unfortunately, we didn't all get to sit together. We did at least get to sit 4,4,2.

Front: Debra, Liz, Me
Back: Stacy, Natalie, Jackie, Monica, Gretchen, Emily, Michael (Becca missing here)

I was pretty excited. And slightly hyper throughout the movie. I kept commenting to my friend Natalie at random points in the movie and we laughed later at her annoyance of my comments. Emily, on the other side appreciated them, so I continued with her (yes, I'm that kind of a movie watcher). It was over just before midnight and we chatted outside about the movie, and all but 3 ladies came to my house for treats for a further discussion (mostly comparing it to the book).

Becca the scooper (I hate scooping, glad she took the initiative)

The crowd let just before 1:30am, and unfortunately, Michael heard us most of the time and just tossed around. What a good husband. (See my new white kitchen cabinets?) If you haven't seen the movie (whether you read the books or not) go see this trailer, its a good one. Wow, check out the t-shirts here...there are a million of them--quite funny.

I'm loving the white cabinets. Do tell how you did it!

I actually really liked it. I could tell from the commercials before that they really got the "chemistry" of it all. Not just the boy/girl thing, but the characters I think were all good. A few special effects left me laughing, but they had a low budget, and that doesn't bother me too much. It seemed to go by fast, but thats because I knew what was going to happen. I really liked the 2 main characters.

Oh my gosh, I LOVE these books and absolutely LOVED the first movie!!! We went to a midnight showing of it last Thursday night--so much fun. Wasn't the chemistry between Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart amazing??? It totally made the movie. I'm dying to go see it again! And I'm so excited that they're talking about for sure making movies for the rest of the series :)
