My Tyler is 8

My firstborn child hits the ripe old age of 8. For some, this may be no big deal, but for us, it is a day we've talked about for a long time, because it is the day he will be baptized a member of our church. Tyler is everything we could have asked for our oldest child: responsible, loving, adaptable, thoughtful, a leader. It's a tough role to have, but he does well.
This is just after he was born. We were so happy he joined our family.
I love these bunny ears on him.
And this car was a fun shot.
Love this hat...what a cute face.

University of Delaware mascot, YouDee the Blue Hen. He wasn't excited about it.
This was last year, when he got 3rd place in his grade in the Turkey Trot.
tyler the smiler...
with his baby sister, Alyssa

I love my boy. He has always been a happy one with a smile on his face. As a baby, he was dubbed Tyler the Smiler, and it still holds true. His teacher at school and his teacher at church talk about how well behaved he is, and how he is attentive and ALWAYS smiling:) Although the smile isn't constant at home, its there quite a lot. He is very nurturing to his younger siblings. And still blows me kisses when he leaves me for school. He will still sit on my lap when I ask, and sometimes he'll do it all on his own. I love my boy, my Tyler boy.

Happy birthday Tyler! I love your Tyler boy, too, SO much! I'm so glad I got to see him again this summer, and get to know him again. He's growing up so much! Even the pictures from last year to this year, you can see how much he's maturing and getting to be a growing boy instead of a young child. Wish I could be there with you guys!

Cute boy, I still remember sitting at the kitchen table in our little apartment in Provo and getting your call to let me know Tyler had made it safely into this world. I remember hearing his tiny cry from your hospital room, and crying thinking about how amazing it was that my best friend was a mom! Thanks for your great example of love.
