Father's Day

The kids did a Primary activity at church the week before Father's Day where they decorated ties. Men at church had donated ties that their wives no longer deemed worthy of wearing to church. So the kids put stickers all over them. The Bishop approved of them wearing each tie they received, and this is how Michael spent the 3 hours of church--with 4 ties. We had to make one for Cali at home.

Tyler made the tie that says, "eye love U 33 Rocks" Matthew's said, "Michael and 33" because he said they ran out of "D" stickers. I think its funny that both boys put Michael's age on the tie. Alyssa must have had help, it is the yellow one with eye's and heart DAD. We just put a few animals on Cali's tie.

After church we tried to make brownies from a recipe I found online. When it turned out terribly wrong, I emailed the girl who posted it and she said she accidently put the cook time as way too long. Yes, that is apparent from the photo below.

I gave Michael a new blender for his smoothies that he loves to make. The old one was on its death bed. We promptly threw in a bunch of fruit and it worked like a charm.

I am so grateful that I am married to a man who loves being a father. He walks in the door every evening after work with a smile on his face, ready to play with the kids. He more than just loves our children, he actually likes them. I love him more and more watching him with them.

Happy Belated Father's Day, Michael! I love his straight face in the second picture. I would imagine it would be hard to have such a straight face with that many ties. :) I'm glad he's such a good father.
