Outtakes

Remember this cute family picture that I set the timer and ran for? Well, I thought I'd show the outtakes in all their original glory. Each shot below I took, looked at, and then told each person what they specifically needed to "alter" for the following shot. It's not like this was the last shot and I said, "cut, we are done." There were a few after it. It wasn't until I looked at them on the computer that I dubbed this the best. Below: I didn't like the gap between mine and Michael's head, and can't see the cute baby body as well. And Alyssa's chin....

Ummmm, where is Cali's face? That part is important. And pouty Alyssa.

Not quite...

Pretty cute, maybe a close runner up. Not liking my smile or the way Michael is tilted.

This was just so we could take a break from actually trying....I like it.

Boys....do you want a cookie at the end??? Alyssa, what are you doing???

Alyssa tried here, but can't see her face too well. Tyler! Matthew, eyes open.

Matthew's arm--un uh. My arm--no no no.

Oh my...

Alyssa is cute here, Matthew's arm comes out of nowhere, AJ blocking Cali.
Pretty cute here...Matthew looks scared (as he does in the best one, too) Tyler is cute, Alyssa is cute, not loving Cali's positionin, Michael and I look cute all cuddled together.

Not liking the gap between Michael and my heads.

It was actually a combination of these two shots that made that final image. I hate admitting it, but its true. Can you tell who got switched?

These are all I took of us that day as a family. I did get lucky, but I did a little "work," too.

You switch Cali right?? I would have never guess, you did great.

I can't wait to see her blessing pictures :)

I'm guessing you switched Alyssa. So much work to get a family picture with 4 little ones!

love it! thanks for sharing all the outtakes. not only are they so fun to see but they help us non-professionals realize that it's a lot more than point and shoot to get the perfect shot.

I like the goofy one. :)

Now that's some real life family portraits right there. It's comforting to know that my kids aren't the only ones who don't want to smile and look at the camera all at the same time.

I love this because it just goes to show that 100 pictures is worth that one (or two or three) perfect shots.

Your family is so sweet and you are amazing.

so fun to "hear the commentary" of all the pictures, and fun to see the out takes. What did you use for the backdrop and lighting? They turned out great. I love to look again through pictures and see that I didn't dislike them as much as i originally thought.
