Back home to our beds...

We were only gone for 3 nights, but it seemed like it was much longer. I was away from a computer for 2 days, and the other 1.5 I was near one, but I vowed to wait until I got home to get on. Go me! So this morning the kids are playing with their abandoned Christmas toys while I'm catching up on all the news online. I'll follow up with pictures, but they aren't on my computer yet. Christmas was wonderful at our home. We went to our getaway cabin in the afternoon and stayed for 2 nights. Then went to my parents home in Houston Saturday afternoon. Sunday night we drove home, and had to wait for an accident to clear and watched a lifeflight helicopter come get someone. It was humbling, to say the least.

It's never easy to sleep in a strange bed....tossing and turning. Michael got a kinked neck from the "too soft" bed at the cabin. I just found myself waking many times in the night, but was able to go back to sleep easily. It was so nice to get a sound sleep in last night (besides the 2 times I had to get up to go tinkle).

Alyssa is eating Christmas candy for breakfast, and the boys haven't even left their room yet, as they are assembling their lego toys. Its almost 10am and I'm hoping Target still has some cute wrapping paper 3 days after Christmas for me to use next year. Do ya think?

When we got in at 9:30 last night, I had to walk down the darkened street to my mailbox to see if I got more Christmas cards, and yay, I did. Now affixed on the all of fame. I'm now off to check my lovely friends blogs, hope you got something good for me to read!
