I know you are all sitting on the edges of your seats waiting for the run down of my trip to CT (maybe not all of you, but a few of you have mentioned it). It'll be done soon, probably posted tomorrow night (Monday).
I'll part with a few random thoughts:
-We did not get a DROP of rain from Hurrican Ike. My parents were not even in Houston (my dad on business in Africa and my mom on business in Pennsylvania) but we hear the power is out in their neighborhood and my mom won't be able to fly home tomorrow as originally planned.
-I had the idea (call it inspiration) to play our primary children's CD in the car on the drive to school every morning. The kids love it and it makes me happy that the last thing they hear and may probably ring through their ears during the day is "I am a Child of God." In the afternoon, I do fun songs, to help them unwind (this is a sacrifice for me because I like my music).
-We just did a major re-organization of what I liked to call our "miscelanious" room this weekend. It is our old computer/play/art/study/photography/craft/food storage room, or I've dubbed it the "Playroom." I took a pile of books to half price books and came home with $27 in cash. The kids were excited to get a cut of the deal ($2 for the boys $1 for Alyssa) because they helped a lot in the organization effort. It's still a work in progress....all the filing mess in the corner, I am getting a big 4 drawer file cabinet for it all. The train table (that michael built) used to have piles of stuff on it, our food storage in the left corner, the closet has all my business/photography/scrapbooking stuff.

-Matthew just learned how to ride a 2 wheeler bike, so now both boys can cruise around. He was very concerned about falling for a while, but he's done it now. He is also getting lots of positive notes home from his teacher at school saying what good manners he has, makes a mother smile:)

-Tyler is now officially potty trained at night (yes, my almost 8 year old) we tried everything the past several years and our doctor said some kids just do it later. It was very frustrating and we finally caved in and bought a buzzer and it totally worked! Right away! In the past 6 weeks, we've just had 2 or 3 bad nights. Unfortunately, upon Matthew's turn, he didn't even wake up to the buzzing in his ear...several nights in a row.

-Alyssa loves her accesories and her babies and continues to tote them around town with her. Bracelets all up her arm. She is enjoying preschool and can't wait until its at our house this week. She loves to climb on my lap and cuddle, and we play hide and seek at home while the boys are away. And doesn't she look like a true princess--even in her sleep?

-On our date night last friday, Michael and I ate at Macaronni Grill with a gift card and then he helped me find the perfect running shoe. Unfortunately, it isn't all about the cuteness...he watches me walk in many different shoes because I roll in one foot and I have to find a shoe that supports that. He knows things, you know? So this is what we found, and they were even kinda cute with some pink on them.

P.S. Is anyone in favor of me sending out emails in order to notify of a new blog post? I know its annoying that my blog is private (even I have to sign in on my computer even when I'm already signed into my gmail) and it isn't picked up by google reader. My brother has requested an email when I update, so wondered if anyone else wanted to be added to that list. Plus, I don't even use google reader myself and am just a random checker of blogs (those of you that wonder who have an open blog).

I'd love to be added to your email list for when you put up a new blog post.
We've had trouble with Reilly wetting the bed too. Our biggest problem has been sleeping through the night. We started taking him to my chiropractic neurologist this month. Since we started that he has been sleeping through the night consistently for the first time EVER in his 6 years and he wakes up dry. Hooray!!! We are hoping this continues, but so far so good. We have not had a good nights sleep since he was born. I am so ready for that trial to be officially over.
I am teaching preschool this week at my home too! Good luck. That scorpion deal would have scared me to death and you didn't even scream! Aren't they poisoness? I am still waiting for you to come to Dallas and take our family pictures! Let me know if you are ever in our neck of the woods!
i would totally love an e-mail update. Especially since I've been stalking your blog for news of your CT trip.
if you decide to make an e-mail list, i would like to be added, but it's no bif deal.
i am very impressed with your organization, i wish i was that organized.
I wish michael could be here to help me pick out running shoes! He is valuable to have around. I am so proud of Tyler! What a relief to have that done finally huh? Good old buzzers!
of course add me to your list :) cute kids, kristen! evan is still not riding a bike. no interest, won't go near the thing.
Yes, sign me up for a reminder so I don't get behind!
I like your new shoes and now I'm thinking about your newly organized office/playroom and Macaroni Grill...
If you're already sending one anyway, I'd love an email when you post. I'd hate to miss even a word...
This was such a fun, random post! I love randomness!
And yes, I'd love to be added to an e-mail list, as well. Might as well add to the mass of the "mass e-mail" part, right? :)
I'd love an email alert.
Add us to your email notification because even though our blog is private to so I should be good about checking other private blogs we both always forget and then have tons of catch up reading to do.
