Fathers Day

The kids each made a card for Michael expressing what they love about him. Tyler said he likes it when Michael tickles him, Matthew said he likes it when Daddy does "earthquakes" on the trampoline and Alyssa said she likes to get a piggy back ride from him, and getting kisses.

This is a tickle fest at the end. I feel blessed that my husband simply adores our children. I think all dads love their kids, but Michael comes home from work every day and it is all about them. I recognize that this is unique. He can be silly and serious with them. He loves to play games and play sports and gets excited to teach them new skills (i.e. the fridge in the previous post). I often feel guilty that I don't do that as well with the kids as he does. He'll often say that he wishes he could be a stay at home dad, and it breaks my heart that he misses out on so many things in the kids lives while he is off at work. But we do our best to report at the end of the day all those things, and he gets excited to hear. He was born to be a dad.

What a fun Dad and Holy Cow it's no surprise who their Dad is...they look just like him! What a fun day.

He's a great brother, too!
I just noticed the quote you have on the side of your blog. The one about being good for something. It's the one I used for my senior quote for our yearbook! Love it.

Your kids are so sweet and they obviously love their Daddy very much.
