April 2011

For April Fools Day, I arrived at each of the kids lunches saying I made some bacon and eggs for them. After an interesting look, they dug in for the bacon to find it was a tootsie roll melted into a caramel. Then white chocolate melted with a yellow m&M in the middle. It was fun to "trick" them!

Conference weekend, we got out our games, and my family came into town.  We got a good listen.

Tyler earned a whole lotta cash for grandpa's "Penny a page" program for reading.

We celebrated Grandma's birthday...

And she helped me make a quilt for Alyssa's kindergarten teacher.

Went on a field trip for Matthew's class with Michele Steed and our little ones.

pocket camera--wow, really bad picture quality

When we take Tyler to Piano, I often take the others to a nearby park.

I decided i wanted to start reading chapter books aloud to my kids in the 30 minutes after they got home from school while eating a snack and  unwinding.  It was received very well with the book RIO, based on a movie.  Laughs and cuddling.

The boys didn't want to pose for the pictures...

The dress I made for Cali's birthday.

Just a fun picture of the people I love the most.

Prepping for Cali's 2nd birthday party:  Mary Had a Little Lamb.
