Let's Party

I love holidays....I love Halloween....is it so wrong to love halloween? I don't love evil things, but I love pumpkins and orange and cute spiders and funny little witches. I had a little Halloween gathering with some friends...it was fun to plan and decorate my home for the festivities. I told them to leave the kids at home and to come in costume...not everyone got into the costume thing, but we had lots of fun and laughs, just friends. The best thing I did was plan out the menu ahead of time and allow everyone to choose what they'd bring. I didn't even make anything (just provided a bowl of gourment candy corn & m&m's). Best decision I could have made:) Tyler helped me that afternoon carry out 4 dozen balloons from Party City. I love balloons, they just make me happy. 10 couples came, some from church, some from my neighborhood, I love bringing my friends together. My favorite part of the night is when we sat in a big circle and I had planned ahead of time ?s to ask each person to answer and did a sort of "newlywed game" thing where they answered for their spouse. It was funny to watch the couples interact with each other when they got the answer right/wrong. It was also fun to learn random little tidbits about my friends, as well. My Bombay spiders that I found on ebay

The Spread
Close up on Emily's cool monster guy...everyone was so impressed, it was hard to eat the apples

Michael and I used the dogtags that we made in college before we were even "officially" dating. I already had camo pants, so we built our costume off of that and went to an army suplus store to get the hats, his pants, and boots (had to have boots). Only to discover I could not find my camo pants ANYWHERE so I went back and got some for me. I love me some camo.

What a fun party! I hope it all turned out like you wanted. I remember those dog tags--from Hill AFB. 2039 forever--TRUDAT!
