I had been telling my kids about this candy shop downtown for a few weeks, and they just never seemed excited when I mentioned going (crazy, I know). So I just shoved them all the in van one morning the last week of summer and we headed down. BIG TOP CANDY SHOP has old fashioned ice cream and a soda fountain...they had fun picking out the candy they wanted and weighing it...
cali was mad b/c she couldn't open the candy...
i had to try the famous chocolate covered bacon. luckily, a guy was buying some and didn't want it all, so I didn't have to shell out $3.50 for a sample
i got my treat across the street at Hey Cupcake. I love cupcakes more than candy.
i love the egg gumy candy matthew chose...
the kids liked the adventure after all...hallelujah

Love the candy and cupcake shops. I'm in the next time you go - treats on Grandpa!
That egg does not look appetizing...I know how you love your cupcakes. :)
Very fun! We went to a similar store in San Diego. The kids had such a hard time deciding! I love the picture with Tyler and Matthew and the egg gummy!
Sweet and fun! We found an amazing candy shop in Seaside Oregon. It's called the Candyman. It has every flavor of saltwater taffy you could ever want or imagine. My sweet tooth was throbbing the whole time. =)
I want to go to that candy shop with you some time! Looks like fun. Cupcakes too. I've never seen one of those cupcake vans - probably because we hardly ever go down town.
