It was hard for Alyssa and I to walk away from them in the morning (she cried, so so we watched Strawberry Shortcake first thing at home). Michael got to spend about an hour in each of their classes, go to lunch and recess with them, and strolled the campus getting to know what happens there. I really wanted him to go partially for selfish reasons. So he can "get" a bit of why I spend my time up there at least once a week. To understand the school and how it operates, so all of his information doesn't just come from me. I wanted him to have first hand experience. And then of course because I knew he'd have fun, and it meant SO much to the boys to show off their daddy and play games with him at recess, etc.
Of course it brought happiness to my soul to hear all their stories at the end of the day, that Michael got to know their classmates, the teachers, the principal, the cool front office lady that knows my name and asks about my family. It's kinda like him getting to know my co-workers...sounds weird, but true. He isn't able to come to things during the day, its just the kinda job he has, so I was happy he got to better understand "our world."

wow...they are famous! heehee! that's a really great program. i wonder if they've done any studies to see if it makes a difference in other areas other than school safety....
I just love Dads and their kids...and I love seeing them be a part of what we do everyday that they miss. Very cool!
That is awesome that Michael did that. I totally believe that Tyler and Mathew were thrilled to have him there. What a great program!
That is so perfect, I'm sure the boys loved it SO much! Good for him!
It's so nice when your other half get's an opportunity to see what the kids do at school. Hurray for Micheal!
Thats awesome! A child Psychologist once told me children that have their mom's visit for School lunch and things improve by 25%. Students that have their dads visit at school improve by 70% or so. It's so wonderful I love that he joined the Watch Dogs program!
Nice...so great to have Dads involved. Your three boys together! Hmmm...I wonder if Justin would take the day off for something like this. (:
