Kids school class parties

Since I am the room mom for Alyssa's class, I was most involved with her party. They do parties different at this school in that all the room moms for the grade get together to plan the party and we all do the same thing: games, snack, craft, etc. I was in charge of buying (and got re-embursed) for 185 sugar cookies, frosting, and sprinkles. So that day I brought them and gave them to the other classes and collected the craft, game, etc. It was a LOT less pressure than other class parties I have done in the past where I was in charge of everything--coming up with ideas, etc.

I was glad I didn't have to make 8 poster gingerbread men.

BINGO

Ashley, Alyssa, and Kate (from church) friends in class together

the whole class in the reindeer shirts they made (borderline Christmas-y for a "holiday" party)

Then to Tyler's party..I got to chat with other 4th grade moms.

Tyler and Noah, his friend who also came to his bday party.

I was so exhausted by the time Matthew's party came around, we only stayed about 10 minutes (it was 1:30 and Cali still hadn't napped). Felt kinda bad, but I showed my face.

I do love the parties, but 3 was tough with a little one in tow.

December misc

neighbor Naomi after she sang as Mary

Our annual pajama drive is ring doorbell and drop treats at friends

i love these pics of the kids running back to the car after dropping.  What do I even say about Alyssa's outfit?

we went to Lance Armstrong's bike shop to get Michael some bday presents and saw Lance about to go for a ride. Him on the right. I didn't want to bother him to say hi, so we didn't.

Cali really enjoyed the gumball machine filled with holiday mint m&m's

painting the dollhouse...

Christmas Eve we went to a neighbor's home for a breakfast.

Other neighbor, Marissa.

I LOVE this shot of Cali and Michael.

I decided it was high time for Alyssa to learn how to ride her bike. Within 30 minutes, she was riding alone pretty well.

our december home decor + events

I had a lot of fun decorating our home for Christmas. Our first year in this home, had to decide where everything would go. Alayna helped me the night after Thanksgiving figure out some arranagements.

I LOVE having a mantel for the first time!!! The stockings I created from some I saw at Crate and Barrel a few years ago.  The wording from a blog I found and I spray painted the frame red!  I also made the 3 glitter trees.

I hosted our December book club party.  This is the food above and the group below.

I then had a lunch the next day for a bunch of friends to share my zucchini soup.  I gave them each one of these silver trees that I found at walgreens for $1.  Love that!

THEN that afternoon was all about getting ready for the ward Christmad party.
My van was packed with stuff to take to the church at 6am.

I made the above sign at a crafty event.

I love this shot into our ho me.

Our cards came in!  At first they made a mistake and they were square, then my die cut shaped ones came in a few days later after I got upset.

Love my Jerusalem nativity.

I made the sign and created the phrase: Tis the season to be Joyful

The ward Christmas party.  Michele Steed and I were there at 6am and decorated the whole place and got it ready for our 9am breakfast.
