This is just a bunch of random stuff.....trying to get caught up!

i love how they share their treats with their sister...she now just says, "ahh" and they feed her

the boys built their own little secluded fort, they didn't want the girls to tear down their lego creations

she kicks her leg out (with pointed toe) when she wants to be picked up

i love having the neighborhood over...so far they don't care too much about our little tv (now that it isn't so hot, they play outside)

Let school begin

T-shirts were made as part of our summer fun jar.  We used freezer paper as stencils and I got confused with the negative space, but eventually we figured it out.  Matthew's is a snow leapard (in case you are confused).

We had a welcome walk the week before school started.  Our previous school started it last year, so we were recently familiar with the concept.  Kids wait and stare out the window to see who their teacher would be.  Starting at a new school, we didn't know anything about the teachers, so there was a bit less drama.  I encouraged the kids to write a little note on a page that I placed pictures so their teachers could be familiar and remember who they were. I also wanted the teachers to realize that my boys were new to the school and where they were before.

Alyssa's teacher came first. Ms. Hutchison, it was her first official year as a teacher.

 Then came Ms. James, Matthew's teacher, fairly new also, her 2nd year, first with 2nd grade.

 Sadly, Tyler's teacher never came.  When we went the next night to drop off school supplies, she was shocked and felt bad, as she didn't realized she skipped over a student.  Tyler didn't seem to mind, in fact, he thought it was a sign that he should be homeschooled and play video games all day long (his idea, not mine).
Mrs. McClelland was very apologetic.

 They have walked every day with Cameron across the street.  Tyler and he are in the same grade and play at recess together every day.

 Walking down the kinder hall, she was so excited.

She sat right down and didn't shed a tear (I was shocked).

 We went to visit Tyler at lunch.  I was worried b/c I knew Matthew and Alyssa had friends in their classes, but Tyler didn't know anyone.  Come to find out, Matthew has lunch at the same time and I got to see both of them.

 Alyssa and Ashley after school.  She lives across the street from the side of our home.  They are in class together, very nice.
