Tyler's Musical and Matthew's Field Trip

Each year, each grade does a musical. 3rd graders did one on the galaxy. I have been hearing the songs since this event.

Tyler had his first speaking part:

I was having Cali dance for Matthew's class and they were cracking up. I love that Matthew loved having us there.

I interrupt my travel-logue...

Yes, Cali's hat is fun. Alyssa has one, too. On my list of things to do is take a picture of them in their hats. I got them here before Cali was born (last January)--hoping I really would be having a girl! I just recently purchased from another vendor some YUMMY hair thingies for myself (sorry Emily and Debra my crafty friends who believe in me and my craftiness. I tried to find cute cheap flowers and they don't exist and it was already made online, so why stress myself out?). Here is a sneak peak of what I will wear for our family Christmas cards. I LOVE it!!!

I gotta hurry before too many other interesting things happen in November. If I could pay someone to blog it for me and accurately share my thoughts and emotions about all of these events, I would.
Maybe if I weren't watching Ugly Betty and surfing to these interesting blogs tonight, I could have been more productive. But I did send some images to print, so yay for me!

And Amy, I wasn't really sure if the blue scarf "worked for me" but I liked it and decided...what they hay. I admired scarf wearers from afar for a while, and I thought if I want to, then I can. It doesn't even really get cold here, but I snagged this for my trip and haven't worn it since. I should. I really should. I want a hot pink one now, or maybe plum with the little tassles on the end. I was just recently informed by Matthew's 1st grade teacher that plum is the "it" color this season. She told me this at our parent/teacher conference, referring to Cali wearing a hand-me-down plum sweater that Alyssa wore 4 years ago. And as I look--plum is all over the racks at the stores. I am personally loving the shade of mustard right now. I almost bought a mustard purse a year ago when I went to CT, then talked myself out of it (actually I did buy it, but I returned it a few days later--I do that often). But now I am seeing it again at Target and salivating over it. I digress....

I am so ready to be done posting about this trip and get onto halloween and Tyler's birthday stuff. Here we go....we loved watching the steam rise from the hillside, it was a rainy day this day.

This was a pedestrian bridge in Littleon, New Hampshire. We stayed just a stones throw away from it.


This is the Thayers Inn which we stayed our 3rd night. It was a 4 story hotel used as a hotel 100 years ago, too. Lots of cool history inside, too. It was on main street, so close to a handful of shots. At night, it was raining and Michael and Cali and I sat out on the balcony just above the blue sign. It was really cool and cozy. See Michael in orange below?

Michael suggested I tried to get this artistic shot with the flowing water. I dragged my shutter, but didn't have a tripod to set the camera on, so it is slightly blurry. This is hiking at the Franconia flume gorge We had to pay for this hike, but it was pretty cool.

We were warned of moose and saw lots of signs, but unfortunately, saw no moose:( We liked the warnign below it..."HUNDREDS of collisions."



She loved gnawing on this apple, I like Michael's smile, too. From Franconia Notch State Park, we drove 2 hours to the Atlantic Ocean in Maine. We stayed in Scarborough, Maine, near the Cape Elizabeth Lighthouse. Aparently it is the most photographed lighthouse. I think it is in Forever Young? We got there just at sunset.

It was so peaceful to just sit and look out these windows facing the ocean. Michael LOVES the ocean, so I found this spot just for him. We had the windows open at night and slept to the sound of the waves crashing.

The Breakers Inn, we stayed in the Tower Room because I knew Michael would love the sloped ceilings and wood walls. I really liked how they did breakfast, too. They had a menu and we circled what we wanted. Since it was already included...I circled just about everything. Maine Blueberry Juice (how could I pass that up?) Orange Juice, toast, sunny side up eggs, pancakes, blueberry muffin, bacon, ham, good stuff.

THE END! Closing the chapter on our trip. It was awesome! Celebrating 10 years of marriage, so grateful for the man I chose to marry.
